–Every Edit Includes the Following Features–
Logic, tone, and coherence
I assess the manuscript as a whole to ensure that your message is clear, logical, and cohesive.
Formatting
I follow any style guide or set of formatting instructions that you provide me with, including formatting the citations and references.
Bible references
I crosscheck all quotes and passages referenced from the Bible and Ellen White to ensure that they are quoted accurately.
grammar and readability
I ensure correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation to produce a polished, professional manuscript.
Pricing
Three levels of editing are available.
- Proofreading Plus covers all the editing components listed above but only provides comments to identify areas where the logic, tone, and coherence need to be improved.
- Standard Editing covers all the editing components listed above and will rearrange the content as needed to improve the logic, tone, and coherence. Sentences will also be rephrased as needed to improve clarity and effectiveness, even if they were grammatically correct.
- Editing Plus includes everything offered by Standard Editing but will also provide content-related revisions and heavier rewriting, including adding content, revising the choice of Bible passages included, and heavy word count reductions.
After you send me a sample of your project and discuss with me the level of editing desired, I will provide you with a quote.
What You Can Expect
–These are the steps to getting your manuscript edited–

Submit your manuscript via email or the website contact form. Include any relevant information such as formatting, your intended audience, or preferred Bible version.

I respond within one business day with a price quote and an estimated turnaround time. We can talk further via phone or email if either of us has further questions for the other.

If you choose to move forward, I bill you 50% of the total price and begin work.

For longer manuscripts, I send you edited chapters every few days so you can begin to review my edits.

I return the edited manuscript to you in Microsoft Word with all changes identified using the Track Changes feature.

You review my edits and provide any clarifications I request. If needed, you can make further changes based on my edits and send me the updated manuscript.

I make any further edits needed based on your responses and return the manuscript to you along with an invoice for the remaining balance.

If you choose to rewrite anything other than to modify my edits or if you add more content, contact me to inquire about a reduced rate to re-edit the manuscript.

The Fine Print
–I keep your manuscript confidential and do not share it with any third party.
–I do my best to avoid any errors; however, you are responsible for reviewing and approving the final version of the manuscript.
–Except under Editing Plus, I do not make changes to your actual content; I only help you express your content more clearly.
–If you are unhappy with the quality of the edit, you may contact me within two weeks for a free re-edit or a refund.
